Women, on fim

Since it’s International Women’s Day, I will share some of my favorite photographs of women.

This first is one of my all time favorite photographs, period.  I was downtown with my camera exploring when I saw these beautiful women putting up flyers.  It took me 45 minutes of being on the same street with them to work up the nerve to ask if I could make a photo – not out of fear on my part, but out of respect for their privacy.  In the end, I decided I couldn’t let the opportunity pass –  it isn’t every day that I see people owing their glorious individuality with that much pride – so I just asked.   And I’m so, so glad I did.  If anyone knows them, please put them in touch with me so I can send them a print!

This woman was at the Pecan Street Festival a couple of years ago

Round Rock’s Ballet Folklorico dancers are also my favorites

A few portraits I have made of my beautiful friends

Little women

And, last but certainly not least, the women in my family.

Vive la difference!
