If you’ve followed my blog for more than 5 minutes, you’ve probably noticed that I love fairs – the more local the better. Of course the one in my hometown is my absolute favorite. An October isn’t complete unless I’ve wandered around the midway for at least an hour.
Last year, I shot a roll of Psych Blues film with my Contax G1. I have no idea which number it was; judging by a quick look at the website, it might have been Psych Blues 5. A while back I ordered a variety and have sat on them like a mother hen, waiting for just the right time. The fair was one of those times!

I developed this film months ago, was really excited when I saw the scans, then promptly moved on to other photographs in other places and forgot about them. Having circled back around through my files, I figured I should go ahead and share them with y’all before any more months passed.
The light leaks in this film are fun, but what I really like about it are the candy colors and how those match with the atmosphere of the fair. (If I do say so myself!)

The following photos I made from the ferris wheel. . . .

Thanks for looking! Hopefully one of these days I can get around to developing the rest of my color film backlog; who knows, there might be more rolls of Psych Blues in there.
